Cubital Tunnel Syndrome
Common findings with thoracic outlet syndrome:
(Hutchison & Rayan, 2011)
- Dysesthesias of the 4th or 5th digits
- History of fracture, fall with trauma to the medial elbow, pain in the medial elbow, handgrip weakness
- Pain provocation with Tinel’s sign at the medial epicondyle
- Elbow flexion test evokes paresthesias in the 4th and 5th digits with wrist and shoulder in a neutral position
- Positive “scratch collapse test” described by Cheng et. al. where the clinician resists shoulder external rotation. The medial epicondyle where the ulnar nerve is located is scratched. Loss of shoulder external ROM resistance on the affected side
