Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
Previously referred to as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) or Shoulder-Hand Syndrome. One of the defining characteristics of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is severe burning pain which may or may not cause immobility of the affected limb(s). Additionally, there can be changes in skin color, skin temperature and skin sensitivity, as well as the presence of excessive sweating and tissue swelling.

- “Burning” pain in the upper limb
- Motor disability
- Changes in the color and temperature of the skin in the affected limb
- Skin sensitivity
- Swelling
- Changes in nail and hair growth
- Investigation of the autonomic nervous system
